i phones for standing committee members GHMC

It is seen in the television that GHMC standing committee members demanded for iphone for their services, which cost around1.5 lac for about 17 phones.
Do not know what kind of services they provided but they are expecting gifts from public money. They are paid as corporators, got attendant benefits etc., Still they want to have some thing more.
Govt. need to look at such type of wasteful expenditure with public money and drive them towards service to public. more

Í might be wrong, but what i Hear is, this is not the first time that such wasting of tax payers money by GHMC committee members, there has been many such overs the years, if people handling public tax payers money are not held responsible for expenditure these types of gifts and the badly layed roads and badly exicuted contracts would continue. more
Dear Sri S.N.Sitaram, Congratulations on doing what I intended to do. When the present body is about to demit office as corporators there is no need to equip them with very expensive mobile phones at the cost of the tax paying public. It is appearing to me that certain people want to make personal benefits from the public resources. It is wholly unwarranted/unethical to provide any corporator any facility like this. Instead of this, they can atleast give flood relief to ten persons. Budget should not be misutlised for enriching a corporator.
