Parking overcharging outside ring road mall rohini
I parked my car for 4 hrs,25 minutes outside ring road mall. The parking attendant asked me for Rs. 80. When I said this is too much and asked how, he said, sorry 60.
I saw north Delhi MC board on which it was written maximum 50 upto 5 hours. I showed him that buthe said rudely, my machine says 69, I will not let you go in 50. I asked him to call manager but he did not. I called manager on number given on board butnymber was invalid. I called coordinator. On hearing my complaint, he told the attendant "chal 50 lele. Joi nahi." I felt very offended as if he is doing me a favour. I asked him to book complaint. He said he will send me complaint number within half an hour but didn't The attendant then said, koinahi, jai, ye board mein kal hi change karwa doonga.
Some other people were also arguing with attendants.
On my way back I realised they have overcharged me earlier also as I had not seen the board. more

Hyatt charged me Rs 150 flat for valet parking some time ago. Malls and private hospitals get extra land at cheaper rates from Govt for reduction in parking charges. Karol bagh parking is double the rate on one day(sunday perhaps). It is for understanding that how their machine tell some rate other than the standard value. Police should be involved in cases of cheating. but who has 2 hours of extra time for this social work. more

Parking overcharging is very common in busy areas. One other example is the underground parking at Chandni Chowk. The attendant will always tell you ask you 20 to 50 Rs extra and only when you remind him to calculate based on time the car was parked, then they will say "de do". more
