33 crore Indians may currently be vaccine hesitant

Thanks to all of you who have regularly been participating in the vaccine hesitancy surveys. To better understand the magnitude of hesitancy, LocalCircles this time focused on the data of only individuals who haven't taken the vaccine yet and below is the link to the survey report.

33 crore Indians may currently be vaccine hesitant

We will be escalating the same to the Government so efforts can be put in to educate, sensitise and engage and address this hesitancy for if its not done India's vaccination drive is at risk of slowing down by October.

We look forward to you sharing your experiences and inputs on this subject. more

Publicity by Vaccinating Centers must be improved to face 3rd Wave also . more
We should not put too much premium on vaccination but covid protocol which has virtually disappeared which will prove very costly to the public as well as to the Govt. in the coming months. more
If past data on various vaccines is analysed, we would that for any vaccine, there was hesitancy among citizens initially and over a period of time, after creation of awareness and continuous campaign the same, India succeeded. So, in this case also, we will scale through which time will tell. As a loyal citizen, let everyone of us create awareness among our friends and relatives who hesitate to get vaccinated which will go in long way in getting maximum citizens vaccinated and this hesitancy level will go down. Of course, government must come up with free vaccine across the board and running camps across. Also, it should be noted that vaccine vial must be opened only if there are 10 people at the centre for vaccination which will reduce vaccine wastage to nil. So we need to be sincere and honest in extending support to the government in this vaccination programme. more
During our childhood, we have been vaccinated against BCG and there after polio. We had never faced any hesitation, may be we were infants. The present hesitation is mostly due to adverse publicity in the media. We have to develop awareness. more
Every body wants free vaccination at their convenience. Unless until some of their friends relatives are not affected they don't think about the vaccination. I feel bottom line of vaccin hesitancy is this. more
