Stray dog menace is one of the worst menaces in Bangalore. There have been many instances of the dogs chasing the motorists in the night. Recently, when my child was playing outside near my house, the dog pounced on him without any provocation. The same thing happened with one of my relatives. He was attacked by the dog when he was returning home from work. This too happened without any provocation from him. Worst part is that the dogs keep barking in the night and fight with each other. This disturbs our sleep. Repeated complaints to BBMP have not yielded any results.

There have also been instances of the dogs suddenly crossing the roads and creating a nuisance to the motorists. Recently, a dog suddenly ran across the road and he was knocked down by my car. This resulted in a major damage to the car. The radiator and the front bumper was damaged beyond repair. I had to get both replaced. I was fortunate enough that this happened when I was in the car. If it had happened with my two-wheeler, then I would have suffered multiple injuries on my body.

The stray dog menace is the worst of the worst kind. Their population increases day by day. Many, Many pups around - What has happened the plan to sterilization?. NEW DOGS APPEAR - PROBABLY DOGS CAUGHT ELSEWHERE ARE DROPPED HERE, THE TURF WAR AMONGST THE local one and the new arrivals reach a CRESCENDO in the night waking up even the dead.

It is high time our Municipalities should have clear cut action plan reg , stray animals.......they roam in the streets freely, creating problems to the trafic. no body looks in just go the concerned agencies must be in sound slep,
