1. Lessser we speak about Roads condition the better. First time when BJP came to Power most of the Bengaluru Roads were done when BBMP elections were not held then. It is almost 8 years now and no internal roads are attended to. 2. Streets are not cleaned on regular basis / daily. Sweepers they come in group clean and then they are never seen after 11 / 11.30 am. Do they work just for 4 hrs or less?
If at all BBMP is paying salaries to anyone calling themselves as sweepers, it is a sheer waste of public money. How many places in the city does anyone get to see any sweepers? In all probability, they may be collecting their salaries but may be keeping themselves busy in trading or just sitting at home. Is there a system of surprise checks by BBMP officials? If a specific area is not being cleaned regularly, who is to be blamed? Is there any accountability for such glaring lapses? It is natural for people to throw garbage on the streets, if the streets are already shabby. Why no one throws garbage if the street is very clean? It is a natural human tendency. If the contractors do not remove the heaps of debris after any digging up work, it is because they have no fear of penalty or punishment. If people dig up roads as they please, it is because they know that city administration is totally indifferent or has no time to look at such violations. Who is to blame here? The one that breaks the law or the one who is supposed to administer it? None of the Govt bodies care two hoots when all kinds of posters are pasted on Govt properties like electric poles, street sign boards, Postal boxes, Junction boxes and even on bus shelters and trees. All this is adding to the garbage mess this city has already been facing. It is utter lawlessness emboldened by extreme indifference from the concerned authorities. Unless there is a fear of swift penal action, almost everyone would continue to flout the rules.
I have complained about a fused tube iight on 2nd cross, Dinnur Main road, R.T.Nagar, on the 19th July and my complaint no. is 419, Even though a month is about elapse, no action has been taken by the BBMP till date. My repeated requests only get me a reply "put your phone down"
