The parking lots for two wheelers and cars across the city have not been marked properly. Haphazard parking in Bus Route Roads as well as interior lanes has been a menace which has not been addressed effectively by both the Local Administration as well as the Law Enforcement Agencies. Honest Tax payers are the ones who finally end up paying a fine for no fault most of the times and the guilty get away without any penalty. Rules in this country are only meant to be broken. When the personnel from the Law Enforcement Agencies themselves do not wear helmet as mandated while riding a Two Wheeler, how can they enforce the law of the land. Its such a SHAME that we talk about being the Biggest Democracy in the World. Its clear as per law that one is not supposed to Drink and Drive, but we find many Two Wheelers and Auto's parked next to the Tasmac Shops and Bars, the cops are aware that the customers drive after a drink, what have they been able to do???? When asked we will be told, its the Government which is running the Liquor Business and therefore nothing can be done. Its the Common Man who has to take the call while Casting his VOTE.

The parking functions in Annanagr ,Chennai can be rated between below average and average . Average in general places . Below average in places where super stores are situatd .One can see 3 layers of vehicles being parked ; vehicle like 2 whealers , 3 wheelers 4 wheelers and supply trucks. Cops don't visit these places comfortably in peak hours . It is really a nuisence for traffic.

As Metro work has been goung on these roads in Annanagar ,roads have been made oneway ; no police to control the offenders at all [or short staffed ?]; the road 2nd avenue is a high speed area where anything can happen . The violators are mainly 2 wheelers and 3 wheelers ; surrrprised even sedans also some times . Cops should not wait till a fatal accident to impliment these simple laws.

Imposing fine on traffic rule violators in Chennai will become the biggest source of Revenue collection. Take the hint , chennai police .

Yes people uses public places for their own business where as the corporation levy tax on the individual house owner if they want a car park as the slit floor.. what a logic indeed. instead of them encouraging this they discourage the citizen who wants to do this... can we re think this policy and make the changes accordingly in the city plan... and also to stop relaying the road instead of once for all giving good roads.

All the road and streets have been used as parking places. Inspite of various request none attending or addressing this issues.

The paid parking lots are only on small stretches of the important localities like Adayar or T Nagar near Panagal Park. The eateries have occupied platforms and cause disturbances to the parking of the cars as we find two wheelers also come into the car parking lot due this shops . The attendants are mute spectators and they just run after the cars for collection only when it is about to take out . Charges are also not uniform and new comers are duped with 20/- or more also!
