SITI Cable Net work, Hyderabad region. It was built up with the hard work of its franchisees and customers. The popularity gained by it was only timely dedicated services of its franchisees. But he SITI is trying to encash its popularity in the bargaining with TV channels. In the essence it is going to gain in the bargaining with the channels. It is forgetting that the popularity was out of its actions but by others. On the other day when the Supreme Court directed all MSOs to restore the ABN channel, it has not even restored even after 3 weeks. On another day i.e. the ETv group had started 4 more channels. From the time of its commencement the SITI had scrambled even the existing ETV and ETV2 channels in the name of popularity TRP ratings. On its web site it had displayed that any technical trouble would be rectified within 8 hours to 72 hours. When the channels were scrambled on inquiry it stated that it was due to some technical reason. But the truth was otherwise. It was bargaining for lesser royalty payments to ETv group. Finally on persistent demand from consumers it had restored the old ETV and ETV2 channels. While doing so it had violated the basic principles that (1) it had collected the royalty payments were paid by consumers; (2) the franchisees in good faith had invested lots of money in the business prospects; (3) the SITI had also collected the royalty for ABN which was discontinued about 525 days before but not reduced such royalty amount collected from the consumers and franchisees. It is behaving as a monarch as could be seen from the affidavits filed through its association before Supreme Court. Unfortunately the people of India had no other alternatives than these unlawful associated organisations. Some day all MPs irrespective of their party affiliations might start an association of MPs / MLAs/ MLCs and if possible separate associations in the name of ex cadres.Why not the Government should pass a law curbing this type of illegal services or it may allow foreign direct investments in to India.

Worst and the poorest services , i.e..Hathway internet they charge for 50 MBPS speed internet services and takes advance money . Actually never gives you more than 10-12 MBPS speed , sometimes even less than 3 MBPS . When you complaint abt this ,they play with your sentiments , guide/fool you by changing your location from Ghaziabad to Lahore, Aurangabad etc and try to convince you . Most of the time wou`ll find no connection due to wire issues etc . No one listens /attend your complaints . The worst part is that they close the complaints in their records without contacting you , assures you to give extra days /period for the services lost BUT in vain .

Same story with their Hathway Cable Network . I bought a HD Connection and paid Rs.3800/- for box But whole year even after paying Rs.1842/- not got even for 4 months (out of 12 months ) , no one resolve complaints . Openly challenges and violates TRAI`s guidelines such as never gives you bill , Advertise of website for Ala Carte ( pay for the channel you watch only ) but says no to this offer , Compells and Force to take two offers ( other than Rs.152/ pm ) at a single time which cost you additional 275/- p.m...and above all never believes in Government Guidelines and stop/disconnect your connection or gives your money back or take set top box back .

My suggestion is that TRAI must start the porting facility asap to take control of the Cable and Broadband service providers too like in telecommunication .
