EMPLOYEE PROVIDENT FUND ORGANISATION IS HIGHLY INEFFICIENT, INEPT AND INCOMPETENT. THEY TOOK FOUR YEARS TO TRANSFER MY VOLVO BANGALORE AMOUNT TO MYSORE. CAUSING ME A LOSS OF INTEREST.

Dear Sir,
The definition of "Labour" in any of the statutory Labour laws does not have any ceiling of " Income/Salary'. Due to this, Some of Non-executive staff in Central PSU's, earning a basic salary of Rs 45000 [ ie Grossof Rs 1,30,000/-], still enjoys all the benefits & protections of the Statutory labour laws. This worsens the Work environment & Industrial relations, thereby severely undermining the profit & functioning of Cenral PSU's & similar organisations.
So Non-executive staff having such huge salary benefits, should not be under consideration as "Labour".
So I humbly request for Income ceiling on definition of "Labour" in all the Labour statutes.

Considerable disputes in respect of Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 is pending with the office of the Regional Labor Commissioner(Central) Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The reason is that no Regional Labor Commissioner or Assistant Lab-our Commissioner is posted and the posts are vacant. Retired employees having dispute in payment of gratuity are suffering for years. This is not expected of Government of India.
