While a very good progress has been made as for as providing electricity in villages, but Transformer management is remains unchanged.
In my village, villagers need to collect the money (Chanda) among them self to rectify any fault in Transformer in the main line to village. No takers for the fault. Its' going to be about 10 days since there is no light in my village Kanhepur, Via-Khimsepur, District-Farrukhabad, U.P. The Transformer will not be repaired until villagers collect money and deposit to the line man. A long way to go in managing the faults in villages.

A commendable effort in bringing electricity to all villages in India. I hope all houses get electricity by the end of this year ((as promised b the minister). I share the concerns of other members regarding power theft. However, since, both, state and central governments are involved and elections are an unending thing, I don't see a solution in the near future.
