I usually travel from Mumbai to Thivim by the Shatabadi Express, however, this time I travelled on The Mao Double Decker ( train no. 11085 ) PNR No. 8655787635 dated 8th. February, 2016, Seat No, C8U 106. I tell you the catering staff sold all food items at double the price compared to the price shown on the railway menu. Some smart passenger, took hold of the situation, called for the supervisor at Ratnagari Station, made the catering staff isue receipts for the amount collected and made the staff write on the receipt the amount refunded to the passengers in C8. The TC on board refused to log any complaint, saying this was not his job profile ( I can understand ) In the mean time serving of food had stopped completly for almost three hours, this is ridiculous. Can the MOR do somthing to stop this erratic ways of making a fast buck which at the end othe day a very BIG SCAM.
udyan express Mumbai cst Bangalor e pathetically slow takes 24 hours for metrely 1100 kms. moreover earlier train nused to reach bangalore by 8000 a.m now it is half an hour delayed. so much disrpect for paseenger time and preference . they have to rewach their office in time. india has yaet to introdu e even a superfast train which travels atle ast 55 kms /hour between the two main cities mumbai and Banaglaore and also the msot known international cities of india leave aside durontos. easily train could be sppedened by 2 hours and if necessary by 4 to 6 hours. udyan patheticall takes more stops than local basava express between wadi and bangalore at deserted wadi junction it halts for ten minutes!
I usually travel between Bangalore and Udupi by Karwar express at least twice a month at least. First of all I find the 2 Ac & 3 Ac coaches are most of the times old and they rattle and toss you side ways. Secondly, the toilets some times are without exhaust fans, water and health faucets. Thirdly invariably in the 2 Ac the Ac is switched off once it reaches Mangalore City station where the train halts for more than half an hour. I have always complained this to the TTE and every time I get a reply that it will be set right. I have also made this complaint to this forum. Last month I traveled by Udyan Express to Mumbai and back. My experience was the same.
I feel some stringent and speedy action has to be taken and the concerned staff to be made accountable.
