We are the Contract Labours of BSNL since last 20 to 25 years. Every year our tenders are renewed for 26 days per month, so as this year. BSNL authority has stopped our salary since March'2019 and decreasing our days of work from 26 to 13 days. In this current situation more than 10 numbers of workers have been committed suicide in Calcutta Telephones. Situation is so tough that we the workers are facing tremendous problem to run our family. We all have kids who are in school and ailing parents. we are in mid age and this is far to our imagine to get any job elsewhere. In this situation our prayer is honorable Telecom Minister and Labour Minister to intervene our matter and to take proper step so, that we get relieved from this unbearable situation.

I have read the open petition here at the website localcircles.com, made by Sri Dipsankar Ghosh on behalf of Contract Labours of BSNL and himself, requesting the website's visitors to sign the petition, as the petition is addressed to Chief Managing Director/Chief General Manager of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), also the petition prayed for intervention of honourable Telecom Minister and Labour Minister for getting relieve from unbearable decreased days of work and stopped salary since March'2019.
Accordingly, I sign the petition in its favour - as a semi self employed person in West Bengal, and find the matter relevant to deprival of Fundamental Rights, inability to maintenance of adequate means of livelihood, as such I would also like to suggest the applicant to seek remedy before the Honourable Calcutta High Court, if required through the support of Calcutta High Court Legal Services Committee.

Please remember those days when BSNL used to take the customers for a ride. Customer service was big zero. Rates were exorbitantly high. People used to wait till 11p.m. to make ISD call. List of owes are endless....
