The new Government rules (2023 tobacco warning rules) require that for any movies/shows on OTT platforms (Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, Jio Cinema, others) that have smoking scenes, an anti-tobacco awareness video be presented upfront and in the middle, an anti-tobacco disclaimer video be presented upfront and in the middle and static anti-tobacco warning be presented during smoking scenes.
