Its not a question of anybody telling the SC or HC or any other court for that matter. We all know how much Complan actually contributes in increasing the children's height. The dangers of the constituents of Bournvita is no longer a secret. So, all I mean to say is that almost every company making or marketing such products is indulged in similar kind of misinformation or miscommunication through their ads. Therefore, all of them must be treated squarely and it is not correct to adopt a selective approach to target any company (or person) just because it is highly popular among Indians. Read on the attached journal to get more idea on Patanjali's popularity and the reason behind the business rivalry. I won't say that there would be no truth in the test reports on Patanjali products, but then all brands make mistakes that may or may not be deliberate on their part. We have heard and read about Maggi, not very long ago. I am sure Patanjali would also get over the current fiasco and set its house right. Above all, our nation (if not the whole world) must be very thankful to Baba Ramdev for making Yoga a household activity. more

There seems to be a strong lobbying by the MNCs such as HUL, Nestle etc. to downgrade Patanjali reputation. more

In September 2017, the Delhi High Court ordered the company to stop airing an advertisement for its brand of chyavanprash which disparaged a competitor's. Company products, such as amla juice and ayurvedic medicines have been banned for poor quality. Patanjali has been cited for its working conditions; Ramdev and Balkrishna are treated as gurus whose feet must be touched each time they enter an area. Workers are paid ₹6,000 (US$72) per month, working 12-hour shifts, six days a week. They are also discouraged from asking for a raise, with the rationale that working at the factory is considered "seva" (voluntary service) to the cause and is a payment in itself. On 22 May 2021, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) in Uttarakhand sent a defamation notice of ₹1,000 crore (equivalent to ₹11 billion or US$130 million in 2023) after remarks by Ramdev about doctors who practise evidence-based medicine. more

I have been using Patanjali products for the last many years. I have found these very good and there was never any occasion for complaint. more
