is skipping beneficial to reduce weight for those person who has back pain? more

  I have cervical spondylitis for last more than four decades. I also have lumbar spondylitis for more than six years. I practice the following to maintain body weight and avoid any increase: 1. Strict control of food intake: both quantity and quality and timing. Avoid added sugar, low fat and low salt. 2. Regular pranayama and suksma asanas, 3. Brisk morning walk for about one hour and ten minutes daily. Till date I have been able to achieve my objectives on body weight. more

  avoid skipping. already there is a stress in the spinal U have to stretch it and should not stress it.lie on a table of 4 feet with upto neck hanging, eyes looking roof. SLOWLY MOVE BODY mm VICE FROM THE TABLE. if AT aNY POINT THE PAIN DISAPPEAR UR problem is solved. mark that point . daily do it . If it is not working out ,eyes facing the floor try this Definitely u will be relieved. more

  No. Please avoid skipping but must do brisk walk daily atleast for 30 minutes. more

  Someone is telling you if you had a back pain and it was gone skipping proves it really do not try for nothing even then it is like risk of messing it up by accident. more

  Pl do take up some expert advice before attempting. It will also depend on the cause of the back pain. Skipping may aggravate the conditions causing the pain. I have been advised not to do skipping for the time being at least. more
