1 in 3 families did crackers on Diwali survey

Was on the dot and shame on police, transport department and excise department and MCDs Noida authority GMC that so much quantities of fireworks entered Delhi.

Either they are all corrupt authorities or clueless. Whatever it is the Supreme Court should call for the termination of the heads of these bodies.

It is a governance failure more

We the LC members do not make or break governments. Huge numbers of people living in slums dictate their terms, treating voting day like a mela, enjoying freebies, while educated few will keep on debating while the other end of spectrum, the richie rich feel happy to break the laws, flaunting their connections with mighty people in the government and happily relocating to safe places in India/abroad. A spark through crackers can instigate huge fire. Just look at the numbers of incidences of fires reported in Delhi..officially and unofficially. more
Do understand the root cause of the entire problem. What do you think of politicians & judgesiary. Will they be in public interest ever? If they have done for you, then you will will not be acting like this. And keep it in your mind, they will never do anything for you (public). People don't know the value of your vote and more importantly the value of community. It is not a problem of one day fire work. more
True. Unable to understand this madness. Some people were seen burning crackers wearing masks. Height of irony. People bursting crackers are putting their own as well as others' health and life in danger. There is no religeous requirement of burning crackers. Religion and tradition only prescribe lighting of Diyas. Manufacture, Sale, Purchase and Use of crackers - all these should be banned completely for all occasions throughout the year and violators should be strictly punished. more
