Practitioners i.e. Homeo Dr.s keep saying homeopathy can treat everything but then their are things that homeopathy can treat more effectively i.e. cough cold versus hair loss.

Taking up a case is a highly technical, intelligent and observant procedure. I know some doctors make a chronic patients wait for some time to observe his reactions. Understanding the psychology of the patient is equally important in chronic cases. Questioning a patient according to his temperament is also an art. Therefore it is said, homeopathy is not only a science but also an art! And certainly an artist succeeds better than only a scientist. more

Infact all patients who do not understand the basics of homeopathy do not tell the doctor the real symptoms required by the doctor to prescribe the exact right medicine. So it is the responsibility of the doctor ask as many or the right question to get at the real symptoms. Remember the Quote which is apt for a homeopathy doctor "donot ask me wrong questions and I wont give you wrong answers" the patient says, means to arrive at the correct symptom doctor has to ask the correct question. more

Ms Seema I don't think there is any ailment which cannot be treated by homeopathy. Only thing is the patient should be true to his doctor in telling the symptoms and his history because these are the only yardsticks on which a good homeopath takes his decision while prescribing the medicines. As already said it is not necessary that similar type of ailments in two patients should be prescribed the same medicine. It may differ in most of the cases. more

Yes Durga Prasad ji I fully agree. Declaring of medicines by Allopaths is the recent trend when they have started consultation and prescribing medicines. In earlier days the doctors used to administer medicines from his own dispensary. And asking the doctor about medicines is also looks awkard since the patient has not that much knowledge about medicine as the doctor. Yes one should trust his doctor and believe in the treatment he is giving. more

Yes Mohinder Singh ji. Not only that the name of medicine will not be useful for the patient, but it will end up creating so much confusion in the patient's mind that he will quit homeopathic system of treatment. He will go to another half knowledgeable person (like me!) trying to link the medicine to the problem, and the person disagreeing with the medicine suggested (to cover up his lack of knowledge and show that he also knows homeopathy!), then he will go to net for clarification getting most confused and ultimately give up ! A very recent case had happened like this with one of my friend! So I always suggest to my friends " Trust your doctor and don't ask for the name of the medicine" more
