Credit for solar units pumped back to TNEB from domestic solar system

TNEB has announced that they would give concession to people who go in for solar. Knowing fully well that it is not financially advisable, we went in for solar in the interest of environment. It is a few years now and we are yet to get one unit credit. Can anyone in this circle guide us as to how to get units credited to our account for the units we are pumping back to TNEB or tangedco from our solar system? more

Dear Sir, I am having solar power (with net metering facility) and producing power for last 2-3 yrs, but i am receiving any concession from government. The only concession you get is you have apply to government before erection, they will suggest some supplier and you have to purchase from them. The supplier will deal with government officials and get you some concession or payback during the time of erection. i am not aware of any concession during operation of the solar equpiment. more
You need to give few more details as to whether you applied for credit. Even before that gave you made an intimation to them before hand that you r planning for this and would like to get their concurrence. You can also browse www.tangedco.gov.in and see whether you can try online for this more
I am not sure what you mean by "one unit credit" - money or power. One needs more detailed information of your usage and installed system capacity before commenting on credit. If your system is connected to net metering, then it should happen automatically as Mr. Doraisamy says. The billing system pre March 2019 is different to post Mach 2019. If your system was registered before March 2019, there was a unit to unit cancellation. Excess usage over export will be charged and excess exported unit will be carried over to the next bill (billing year is September to July). Any excess in credit after July bill will lapse. A new billing cycle started again. The new policy talks about two separate meters calculating export and import, paying you for the excess export at 2.30 per unit. Below are links for the the two policies (2014 and 2019) for your reference. http://www.tnerc.gov.in/orders/Tariff%20Order%202009/2014/solar%20order/Order%20No%204%20of%202014%20dated%2012-09-2014.pdf http://www.tnerc.gov.in/orders/Tariff%20Order%202009/2019/Solar-25-03-2019.pdf I hope these two documents provide some clarity. more
Dear Mr. Muthusamy, I'm not sure if you have applied and were provided with Net Metering facility. Unless you are connected this way, your supply to the grid will not be recorded and provided credit for. Best wishes. more
