Anshuji I appeciate your concern for the Delhiites and the warning posted here. No doubt AQI over 300 is considdered Hazardous and it is awarning on Health Emergency. But you had mentiond AQI 1,200 for some pockets. But mostly it is under 200 and a few places over . Only in one place it is over 500 according to information. Where are the places over 1,000? more
High Court pulls up AAP government for relaxing norms as cases spike in Delhi. https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/delhi/high-court-pulls-up-aap-government-for-relaxing-norms-as-cases-spike-in-delhi-7047710/ Observing that almost “no household has remained untouched by the COVID-19”, the court said it would have expected that immediate corrective steps would have been taken to contain the situation but instead Delhi government has been relaxing the norms of movement of public even in this situation. The court noted that the number of guests permitted for a marriage ceremony has been increased to 200 from 100 and said the government has also relaxed the seating restrictions in public transport by permitting it to be fully occupied. “The swarming streets of Delhi show an alarming situation where all caution has been thrown to the wind during this festive season and the public is out in uncontrollable numbers which itself would become a cause for further infections,” said the court. more
Shri Om Prakash Bhola, I agree that the L-G also has not taken measures to reduce crowds. In fact the Delhi Disaster Management Authority headed by the L-G should have acted. more
Many thanks Sumantra ji for agreeing. A holistic approach must be followed by all concerned to deal with this natural/man made calamity. It should also be taken as an opportunity to cleanse the social malaise as well as system of governance, etc. People like you are doing a great service to humanity by undertaking such a commendable campaign. God bless you. more
