After the central Govt cut excise duty & some states reduced VAT, petrol prices in Delhi are at Rs 104.1, while it is Rs 95.49 in Noida & Rs 95.88 in Gurgaon. I expect many to just hop across to fill up & Delhi pumps lose business. Better that Delhi Govt reduce VAT more
Fed on populism, the centre gave greater respite on diesel, when petrol is the costlier among the two fuels and far cleaner than diesel. Diesel now has become the rich man's fuel, given that most private high powered 4 wheeler private vehicles are powered by diesel. Those who can afford only motorcycle or scooter the vast majority of people still pay more for refuelling. That's the centre's decision. more
Well, don't you think costly fuels would result in lesser vehicular traffic and lesser pollution ... !!! Doesn't Delhi-NCR deserve to be moving to more environment friendly fuels and renewable Solar energy! I suggest, all Governments should heavily charge on fossil fuels and use the extra funds to give huge subsidies on electric vehicles and installation of huge Air purifiers. more
Yes I too hope the Delhi Government should think about the same and consider the more reduction of DVAT on Petrol and Diesel comparing to neighbouring states as Delhi Government is more caring about the residents and their pockets more
