Is a ridiculous rule by CAQM. If 67% people are not willing to spending 5-15 lakh rupees how can u force them. That too many spending after people consensus. Many just dont have this kind of money. Why dont u subsidise like the survey is saying give societies a tax rebate or deduction. Call it clean air deduction

Welcome move by the Govt. but considering the fact that most housing societies are home to retired people some form of rebate must be offered. Secondly, there has to be an audit of actual use time of Gensets by housing socities to evaluate if such a move is going to be beneficial. more

Welcome the rule. Research based rule. Retrofitting is a one time expense. And medical spending due to pollution? Yes, give the societies a tax rebate, or a clean air deduction. more

Do you feel that the DG Sets being often used by Residents Welfare Society, only when the main connection electric lines are under break. How much pollutions, these may create for short durations. I do agree that those residential societies who are totally dependent on DG Sets might be needing retrofits. Suitable appraisal may be made. Residents are not so rich. The maintenance charges and electricity charges are already burdens for them and over that then this retrofit charges of appx 4-5 K on Its installments. Review and decide. more
