EPF - Name not matching

Hi All,

I was trying to attach my earlier company EPF to my current EPF account / UAN from UAN portal. When I am providing my earlier EPF account No, I am getting error message saying my name is not matching.

I could connect my earlier company and found difference in name in two EFP accounts.

Is there any possible way to correct and add my old EPF account to my new EFP Account / UAN?

I was given understanding that its not possible to change the name now / its better to withdraw the amount.

Any suggestion / advice pl.

dear Brothers,I also need your advice on Family Pension.i filled and submitted all documents in SOL,DU office and was encouraged by saying that we have taken your photo and sign in our running notebook also.You will get first cheque of arrears by a week and then every month.But,by post i got a reply:Your wife has not shown you as her family member in our office records;so you can not be given family pension.it is by the competent authority. on verification,i found my wife has nominated me as her soul all arrears of pension in 2005 at time of her VRS FORM ITSELF.A Message is being sent to CAT-PENSION CELL FOR ACTION.SHOULD A LEGAL COMPLAINT BE ALSO FILED? more

You have two options. You must approach your previous company and get your name corrected exactly matching with the present employer. alternatively, you approach your present employer to correct your name, what you have written while you were in previous employer. Cafe must be taken to write the name in full while filling form 2 and 3 more

You can talk to your previous employer to update the name else raise a grievances in EPFO grievance cell with proof so that they can update. If you are in service you can not withdraw the PF as this is illegal, only you can transfer the fund to new PF a/c. more
