Excellent service by EPF department

I appreciate the excellent service being provided by the EPF department.

Couple of decades ago, it used to take 4-6 months for getting the PF money.
Last time when I withdrew in 2008, it took a month+.
Recently I changed my job after taking a break. I personally submitted concerned PF withdrawal forms (Thanks to the HR of my previous company, who authorised the forms and returned me within no time) at Bangalore EPF office on 28th December precisely. To my surprise, my PF amount has been credited to my account by 4th Jan 9Just in 7days). A big applaud to the department and the employee friendly HR.

Thought of sharing the best practices as well. more

You are truly lucky. It's not in all cases. My Pension settlement File has been transferred from RPFC, Kandivali, Mumbai to RPFC, Kolkata on 07.09.2016 but there has been no response from RPFC, Kolkata till date. PRO doesn't response to any phone calls. Kandivali Despatch No. is KDMAL070916000041. Member ID is KDMAL00410720000000103. Claim ID is KDMAL160800013889. I will continue to follow up and let's see when they will get time to settle my monthly Pension under EPS' 95. more
Yes, now EPF Dept., has changed a lot, really good, as Mr.Mahesh mentioned earlier they used to take 45-60 days some time even 3 months to settle but now they are very fast and the concerned ministry is also aggressive in bringing revolutions in all such departments. At the same time as an employee we do have responsibility of submitting correct and valid documents to HR coz there are so many good HRs who work very aggressively. Now-a-days all most all employers remit the amount in time online so the defaulters are very few. I also go my settlement very fast with no mistakes including pension Certificate since my contribution had crossed 10 years of continues service. more
Dear Mr. Kashi You are lucky that you got your work done.Recently for my EPS record transfer it took two years which is handled by same deptt . Even after approval it took 9 months to send me the annexure -K from back date that too after rigorous follow up . I think in your case it is by chance otherwise quick service is not their norms. more
Lot of changes are in PF system as compare to old years. Soon more changes are coming. more
Dear Mr. Tatpati, in my opinion, if your PF account from previous employer is UAN verified, then you can get your settlement without previous employer. If not, I suggest you (a) First send a query to your respective EPFO as to what do you need to do in such a scenario. Better if you can send this request on-line. Do mention your PF Account number. If you do not receive any response, (b) write to the EPFO Head office giving precise details along with the date of request that you sent to the EPFO, if you still do not get help, write to the next level (possibly the concerned ministry) with all details. (b) If you still don't get help, write to pmopg.gov.in. I am sure you'll get help. Give about 10 days after every request. Try to send requests on-line as much as possible. write dates of all previous requests and who you wrote to. They all have e-mail addresses and also cpgram and other portals allow to raise grievances with all Govt departments, ministries and even with the PM. more
