Average pollution level in the capital on the day of Diwali has come down from 958 in 2016 to 289 this year. While the level of pollution is still 17 times the healthy limit, the decline in pollution level shows public consciousness around pollution is rising.
Indeed great effort circle members, citizens and several Govt officials who have been active on this issue. More can be done. Keep persisting. more

govt. authorities did their bit by making sure crackers were not available for sale. public must do more by refraining from buying crackers from unscrupulous sources. THERE IS NOTHING CALLED GREEN CRACKERS. ITS A MYTH. more

You are perhaps referring to a misleading graphic. Average AQI level over 24 hours has been 386 but has breached the 'severe' mark at 506 (Source - SAFAR). So let's not give ourselves any pat on the backs as yet please otherwise we will soon be back at 900+. Moreover, Firecracker ban must be completely implemented. Even green crackers is just a misnomer. more

I feel there should be a complete ban on use of Fire crackers for Festivals and Marriages, etc. more
