All your awareness and escalations against seizing of old petrol and diesel vehicles in Delhi seem to have worked. I read in paper today that now only fines will be imposed and no vehicles will be seized plus Delhi Govt is coming up with its own policy.

Diesel pollutes more. Diesel is subsidised. Diesel vehicles makers benefit from this subsidy through more sales. They take the money and profit. Pollution made out with the future! चलता है..देख लेंगे attitude.Government regulates through taxes paying the subsidies. more

First of all this is just a cheating by the government where they have taken tax of 15 years and now allowing to use Diesel Cars for only 10 years. Secondly, we have invested a huge amount in buying this car and now we dont have money to buy another car. more

Old vehicles whatsoever the life if passing PUC than govt authorities must allow the vehicles to run on road. more

With reference to Ruchika’s post I would like to add that whatever is going to happen now vis-à-vis old but non polluting vehicles has come too little too late … Unfortunately the policy was not studied through well and law abiding senior citizens have greatly suffered due to the harsh measures of the authorities … who is going to compensate them for their losses due to ignorant government actions more
