Can you please advise on kids shoes. What kind of shoes are best for maintaining balance and are there any do's or do nots. more

Very helpful Bhumika and Dr. Kumar. Did not realize the problems an oversize shoe can cause. We have unfortunately done that in the past.. more
Hi Alka, few things we need to keep in mind while making a choice of shoes for the little ones. - The running shoes have to have an inbuilt arch . While buying the shoes approximate the two ends of the shoe, ideally the sole should be flexible to allow that. - The shoes should never be oversized that makes the kid compromise their gait , which can be harmful for other joints. - In case of girls , shoes with heels is absolute NO, that actually harms their growth plates along the growing joints ,and can also make them susceptible to backaches as young adults. -All kids should have barefoot time everyday, that is great for strengthning of small foot muscles that support their natural arch. I hope you find a solution to what you were looking for , if you have any specific problem you are looking to fix I'll be happy to help. Regards Bhumika Jain. Sent from BlackBerry® on Airtel more
Hello mam any footwear are very important Kids & everybody. Some points can help you to select proper shoes for kid's 1.Must be proper fitted i.e. not be loose or tight because sometime we thought kid's are growing if we took loose fitted can be used for long time. 2.Check about arch support in shoe. 3.Running shoe are must be different from normal shoes. 4.Always use shoes with soft insole to avoid any wear & tear in foot. more
