MCD and Delhi Govt fail on drainage management

Rajghat gets waterlogged. Markets, residential colonies, under-passes flooded. Boats were used. Two deaths. Building collapse in East Delhi. City crawls. If even that does not shock our administrators in MCD and Dilli Sarkar to expedite new Drainage Master plan implementation, nothing ever will.

People in should rate these people on drainage and water logging management in their performance evaluation. I don’t remember seeing this as a rating subject more

Very true its shameful situation, as Delhi Govt is not interested, they are busy advertising and advertising more for smallest pretex and things, without giving any real development and solving infra issues Delhi Jal Board is in deep shit with mounting debts, and still huge money is spent to for brand building at the cost of required developments and facilities, really shameful acts of these governments. more
we r also facing the same problem in north Delhi. despite of lots of complains to MCD authority and MLA no response and no responsibility. more
Why blame only Govt, what responsible citizens shld do, donot cover nalas with illegal extention of your houses, donot use polythene. Donot throw things which clogged drainage system collapse. Dont just rush to cities for overcrowding & overloading already system of drainage. more
Water logging problem is status symbol of Delhi as I am the practicle example complain to both authorities for water logging at front side of houses from last 5 years as Delhi jal board says this pits are rain water harvesting system and to be cleaned by sdmc and sdmc show the name of Delhi jal board on the pit covers and close the complaint by saying that this work is to be done by Delhi jal board as write to pmo office too reply from the pmo office is address not traceable or work has been done without cross check and sitting in their air conditioned room this is the policy of our government need to rectify this policy not to vote to any government in the coming elections for their worsed work in last 5 years more
It was a election promise of Delhi Govt to provide free water. The promise is fulfilled. The society which cherished and flourished on free bies has no right to complain more
