Mis-selling of Dishwasher by Whirlpool of India Ltd.

I purchased one Whirlpool Dishwasher from company's online portal vide Invoice No. 1197 dated 15th June, 2020. One of the features of the product claimed by the company on its online portal is, `Spotless Cleaning and Drying.....in just 1 Hour'. However, the technician who came to instal this machine on or about 23rd June, 2020 informed that this `drying feature' is not available in this model. Therefore, this machine is of no use and is still lying unused. Copy of the invoice, screenshot of the product features given on the company's portal and an enlarged version of the features (for easy reference), is attached.

Requests made to the company through its online portal on 25th June and 1st July, 2020 remain unresponded. Besides, 7 mails sent to the chairman (arvind.uppal@whirlpool.com, ceo@whirlpool.com, helpdeskindia@whirlpool.com, whirlpool_soshead@cogenteservices.in etc., either to replace this machine or refund the amount remain responded. Occasional replies to tweets are just evasive and round about, with no resolution. I feel disillusioned and cheated. Seek your help and guidance in the matter.

No doubt, this is cheating. However I suggest not to purchase any white goods or such costly items online. If you purchase from a local man, you can always contact him face to face and resolve the issue. more
