Misleading ads of hair oil
You go to any website and even in news papers there are these ads called 10 day hair oil or get your hair back in 10 days. They are highly miseading and my question is why does AYUSH ministry or Consumer ministry act against them. The ASCI organisation is run by corporates so no hope from them but alteast the govt should action against such companies? more

Standards Council of India (ASCI), a voluntary and non-profit organisation set up with the objective of ensuring that Indian advertising is sincere, truthful and decent with a sense of social responsibility to the consumer and to the rules of fair competition.It has legal recognition from the Government of India as well. Consumers can file complaints with ASCI, against advertisements that are false, misleading, offensive or unfair. more

I heard that people should not criticize govt in whatsapp or any other media else they will be punished . I also heard that some were caught in andhra pradesh and central govt too and they were punished, if media reports are to be trusted. A similar mechanism needed for monitoring advertisements too. If false advertisements are given they must be punished as per law. more

Please don't stop exposing all such things on local circle, whether Govt take the action or not. At least people on circle will aware. more

Regulation on Advertisments of Hair oils, Tooth Pastes, Health drinks and many other should have watch dog agency to regulate all such over rated advertisements. more

The Advertising Standards Council Of India is supposed to look after such fabricated contents of the advertisement, but they hardly feel it necessary to advise. more
