Pathetic BESCOM
Can BESCOM disconnect electricity without notice? Fuses of 100s of flats were taken out by Bescom lineman today in my daughter’s apartment complex in Bengaluru for payment of ASD, for which most folks didn't even know about. There was no notice from bescom or lineman and strong arming into paying some unknown unexpected charges suddenly before even the actual bill date.
She had come to know about this from somewhere else earlier in the month and had checked preemptively and paid but a majority of the folks were caught by surprise and came to know only when they didn't have electricity anymore. The lineman simply disconnected and went away.
I think this may actually be a crime due to denial of basic services? I've never seen this kind of thing happen in any other place. more

In our apartment complex C2 subdivision had issued noticed along with electricity bill with one month notice. Hence yours may be an exception. Bescom needs money is sure since they are struggling to manage the company. more

Presumably, invisible DICTATORSHIP type of Governance exists. Many problems are created without informing citizens. Newspaper or social media should not be relied upon for individual issues like POWER(ELECTRICITY), WATER, PROPERTY TAX and many more. Individual should be informed(duly acknowledged receipt). more

looks like govt wants to harass customers since they cannot do anything for bpl people and only salaried class they want to harass more
