PF TDS Deduction

Hello there. Is it true that if the PF account is settled within 5 years, then TDS gets deducted from it? I had settled my PF account within (I suppose) 5 years mentioning that I am going abroad and TDS was still deducted from it unfortunately. Is there anyway I can get my TDS amount refunded? Can someone guide me with this please? Thank you. more

If/when you file an ITR you will get a refund or tax rebate on the tax you have to pay. more
PF authority may deducted TDS @10%, it is correct as per Income Tax Act. While filing your income tax return if your income is below threshold limit of Rs. 2,50,000, then you will get refund of full TDS. But if your income is more then 2,50,000, if in 20% of 30% tax slab, you have to pay differential tax too at the time of filing tax return. more
Please file an Income Tax Return for income earned by you for the Financial Year in which Tax was deducted. If your income in India for that year is less than Rs.250000/- then you will get refund in your bank account. more
I settled my years of PF and paid the tax based on my tax bracket. PF is not taxable, as I understand if you convert that into pension or after your retirement but before that it is. more
