Pollution in Delhi going beyond tolerant limits
Are the local circles meant only to ask the government for action. Why not we, the members, not Purpose and start acting on problems faced by us. Form localized (colony wise/ city wise) circles and enforce stopping any activity that is spoiling the environment. more

This is a problem which is recurring for the last 10 years. The Farmers in Punjab & Haryana turnaround their fields to enable them to sow to cash crops between the Rabi & Kharif, the main crops of Wheat & Paddy. Currently, Paddy has been harvested and the paddy stubble is being burnt. If the Farmer has to use a tractor to plough his field to destroy the Paddy straw it costs him @ Rs 1000-1200 per acre besides time. The Farmer needs to be incentivised to stop stubble burning. The GoI & the State Governments need to put their heads together to find a solution. The above is my analysis. I may be partly incorrect. But first the problem and a solution has to be attempted to enable resolve it. more

Sir stubble is not a problem, problem is to implement the law strictly as some authorities take bribes and close their eyes who is responsible for this academic condition no action is taken on the authorities if anyone complaint for them they leave the next of the complainant and the complainant comes in trouble first authorities change themselves then hope for others

thats true but at the same time we can do what is required to be done as an individual and thus requesting/motivating one and all to participate and act what is in our control. more

I agree. It is high time we, the public, start taking initiatives in reducing problems an also highlighting the same to others, who may be directly involved in causing the problems. more
