Pollution in Delhi
Biggest pollutants are dug roads, unfinished work undertaken by Delhi Govt, dusty roads polluting air because of traffic movements on these dusty roads. The blame goes to construction and the person who is repairing his home or constructing a house because this also falls under constructions but the share of pollution by roads under construction and other govt work is never shared by any agency. more

Never do the rich people's concerns intersect with those living in poverty. Poor, like everyone need clean air, also their fundamental right the rich lobby for and have gotten cheap, subsidised diesel that in the end causes pollution. Rich again isolate themselves using air purifiers, and what about the poor! One thing knowing about and quite another experiencing pollution. Knowledge, as experienced, leads to current actions being made out with the future, will cross the bridge when we come to it kind of attitude, while first hand experience mostly causes preventive action. more

Subsidised diesel being sold at relatively cheap rates, has fed into the automobile industry dieselising their earlier petrol driven cars or introducing in the Indian market SUVs that run on diesel. These vehicles are affordable for the rich who purchase more seeing their fuel being cheap. Diesel among all internal combustion engine fuels is the most polluting. Diesel gensets for this very reason stay banned. Polluter pays principle should apply wherever possible. Seeing the above examples we can see how much, if given freedom, the rich, with their SUVs, have a propensity to pollute. more
