It is very harmful for our children to be going to school in PM 2.5 of 800-1000 more

this is a good suggetsion, if the pollution is going to be high only during this period. a we give holidays in summer to avoid heat we can give holidays for pollution. but the issue is we are suffereing from pollution through ut the year barring some summer months when it is hot. more
We should shut down the whole of the country if it can help in controlling the Pollution. Shutting down is only a temporary solution. We have so many learned persons in our country and we are unable to find right answers for strict and uniform implementation through out the country more
I think the natural dust has always been there and our ansectors haven't had breathing problems worth mentioning. The problem is because of man-made pollution like sulphur and nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxides produced by vehicles, generator sets and cement dust due to construction activities . more
To keep the schools closed is not the solution, the main causes for polluting atmosphere should be removed, so that there is no pollution and we get fresh air.
For protection from radiation do not allow Mobile Tower, for sound pollution, do not allow aircrafts after 8.00Pm, for pollution from vehicles, do not allow vehicles, do not allow industries as the same create pollution; instead of finding the ways and means to keep it within control, we think of removing the amenities.
LET US GO BACK TO BULLOCK CART AGE, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY more
To my knowledge, the biggest contributors of air pollution are construction activity and road dust. Places like NOIDA and Gurgaon have a lot of construction activity. Also the general sweeping and cleaning in the city generates a lot of dust. After this you have industrial units spewing smoke, as also diesel generators doing the same. The crop residue burning is another big contributor with a seasonal regularity. Then you have vehicular pollution - especially from trucks and large vehicles. When you have all these ingredients, the only catalyst that is required is the lack of wind speed to serve up a cocktail of pollution with catastrophic results. The solution has to come from a multi-pronged action plan that attacks each of these, particularly ones which government agencies can control and influence. Instead of closing down schools as per this calendar, how about barring construction and other activities first? more
