SHOULD CORONA BEDS IN HOSPITALS BE INAUGURATED ?

Not a day passes In Tamil Nadu, without news and photographs appearing in print and visual media about the Chief Minister or other ministers inaugurating hospital beds , flagging off oxygen carriers and distributing freebies to various groups of people etc. . Photographs also appear every day of Chief Minister receiving donation from people.

When the Chief Minister and the ministers visit hospitals to inaugurate beds, the medical team get disturbed as they have to receive the ministers and care of patients get delayed. During such functions, partymen and media persons are present in large number and rarely observe the social distancing norms.

In times of war (ongoing corona war), the Chief Minister and ministers should stay in the headquarters , receive data , analyse and consult the experts and provide instructions and guidelines to the field staff on day today basis or even hour to hour basis when warranted. On the other hand, if the ministers themselves rush to the spot, there is no one to coordinate , investigate and provide guidelines.

Such situation prevail not only in Tamil Nadu but also in other states. Only the Prime Minister and the central ministers refrain from such publicity craze.

Well Said Sir. more
Well Said! Mr.NSV. But our State Government can't understand ,nor even think in these lines. From 1967, we have been seeing this. Their only strength to capture Power is through lavish Publicity viz. Colour postures, hoardings, TV news etc. How can we expect their habits to bee changed, prevailing for the past 5 Decades. more
