Strengtehing of the Knee

Can anyone suggest exercises for strengthening of the knee. My knee is generally ok but hurts when I run, feels weak. Whether running on ground or treadmill. Any suggestions/information will be helpful. I am in early thirties. more

Anshu,I suggest you take a opinion of physiotherapist once ,they teach you proper 4 exercises ,learn by them,do them twice observation under them and remember them for life ,i just did it and i know if it increases further ,it will hurt also some day --- after few years. more
Lets begin from the beginning- what is the knee represent ? Knee represents PRIDE & EGO. knee problems (in a generalized way) are due tyo stubborn ego and pride , inability to bend, FEAR, Inflexibility, won't give in......So the central theme for knee problems before taking up swimming, jogging or yoga would be to - develop forgiveness, understanding, compassion, to be flexible and flowing.to move forward without hesitation. Main thing is to accept the changes and move with the flow. more
Sit on a chair. Keep/ hold a rolled towel at the back of your knee. Lift your leg up and down slowly. Try and do this 100 times each for both knees initially. Start slow if its too much. The resistance from the towel will help strengthen the knee. more
Start swimming. This was suggested to me 4 similar issue. more
