What matters now is whether you are in employment or not? How much period service you worked in a company has no relevance. If you are in employment, it is not possible to withdraw the PF accumulations. However, on certain occasions such as marriage of children, purchase of a dwelling house, you can withdraw certain portion of your PF on permanent basis, details of which are clearly laid down in EPF & MP Act, 1952. more
If you are not working and also not planning to Work where pf would be mandatory then no harm in withdrawal as you are in need. more
Your doubt is correct but there is no tax deductions on pf accumulations for below 10 years. You can with draw your pf amount. But after 10 years you will get 15.67% only out of 24%.The 8.33% pension amount will be retained by pf authority. You will be given s scheme certificate against pension amount after 58 years you can get pension D.prabhath. more
It is. not advisesable to withdraw 100% PF withdrawal, instead loan against of accout may be availed. more
