THE SEVEN CARDINAL RULES FOR GOOD HEALTH :

This is all about staying fit and healthy and not as much as one thinks it is only in competitive situations or only for participants in competitions. As we age we do need strength and stability to walk and climb small flight of stairs in a shopping mall , to cross a street at variable speeds to escape traffic and be safe . Carry ourselves up as we board a train or Bus without any help. Even carry smaller of our own baggage. The 7 rules :

* Do them well : What ever EXERCISE ONE DOES SHOULD BE DONE REGULARLY though not necessary to do very intensive exercise .

* Stick to Linear Progression : That is extending the line of Progress. Progression is very important from which ever stage you start , INCREASE PERIODICALLY AND STEADILY TO SEE THAT YOU REACH A HIGHER LEVEL OF FITNESS AFTER SOME TIME .

* Constantly improve skill : Add more load and volume so that THERE IS BETTERMENT OF THE SKILL
*Rest well : Rest is as important as the rest of the aspects . Plan and provide adequate rest and relaxation to the muscles as well as the body . GIVE ADEQUATE REST FOR THE MUSCLES AS THY HAVE TO RECOUP AND REVAMP FOR THE NEXT DAY .

*Eat right food : EAT FOR NUTRITION NOT FOR TASTE .3/4 vegetables [ except tubers and corn ] , the rest with simple starch like rice. Stomach should have ¼ water , ½ food , ¼ empty for best digestion and health.

*Sleep Much : Sleep and growth of muscles go hand in hand . There is no muscle development and strengthening without sleep. A MINIMUM OF 7 TO 8 HOURS A DAY .

*Stay Patient and consistent : This is not an overnight process to give you the benefits that are claimed by may advertisers . THERE IS NO TIME LIMIT , IT IS CONTINUOUS THROUGH OUR LIVES .Consistence and patience are the key words.

Useful tips Mr Daniel! However, the rules need to be amended for different age groups....hope you get the point....Octogenarians and Nonagenarians do not fall in some "general" categories.... more

The main rules can be restricted to 4 : Diet, Exercise , Rest & Relaxation

,Meditation . From these 4 the corollaries follow as vatiation to age, sex,

physical conditions . more  
Please keep the mind empty for 15 minutes each twice a day to a perfect physical, mental and emotional health. more
