Too much confusion about PF and UAN
Guys, can someone please tell me what's the difference between UAN and PF number? I recently approached my previous organisation for withdrawal of the PF and asked them whether this withdrawal will comprise of all my deductions (employee and employer) till date from all previous organisations and I'm surprised they said I will have to take it up withe each ex employer individually. I thought the reason we take forward the same PF number is to be able to track all deductions under one account. Now how do I see whether all my ex employers have deposited the money in it and that interest in accumulated and added to it? more

Miss KKhurana, UAN Means Universal Account Number the difference between UAN & PF if you change the job the PF no. change but the UAN no. is not it's permanent no. and online u also chack ur PF account and download the passbook also on epfindia.gov.in more

Respected, Anjali Khurana madam, UAN (Unique Identification Authority of India https://uidai.gov.in/beta/) is a adhar card no. & PF no (http://www.epfindia.com/site_en/) is a Provident fund office reference no. please check the above links for further details. more
