Transfer of PF from Company trust to EPF a/c
I resigned from Sasken Communications in March 2003. And I have initiated PF transfer from Sasken PF trust to EPF in 2004; but some how that cheque was not encashed by EPF; I could find this sometime in 2009 and initiated discussion with Sasken. It is still in process. If I remember correct, amount in PF A/c will get interest for 3 years after stopped using the a/c. In this case, Will I get interest for the years 2004 and 2005 as the amount was still in Sasken PF trust a/c even though transfer was initiated in 2004. According to Sasken PF personnel, only the amount that was attempted to transfer will be transferred again; no further interest will be paid. Is this correct? more

IF AMOUNT HAD BEEN TRANSFERRED BY YOUR PREVIOUS EMPLOYER, AND YOU KNOWS VERY WELL AND YOUR PRESENT EMPLOYER. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CLAIM THE INTEREST. more

I am not sure if EPF dept has acknowledged the transfer. But I have submitted this query some time back in PF website; but it was closed without any feedback. And sasken is not ready to give the interest. more

better you can with your local epf office, they will guide you in this correctly more

Technically speaking, Sasken is not liable to ay any interest as they effected the transfer to EPFO. EPFO had not encashed it, it is sheer negligence. Please find out whether the EPFO acknowledged the transfer of PF accumulations or not? If they acknowledges it, they are bound to pay the interest. Otherwise, it is very difficult. If Sasken takes a lenient view, they can pay the interest as the PF contributions were lying in the turst of Sasken for all practical purposes. It is a very peculiar situation, both the parties can disown from the payemnt of inerest. more

Hi, If the transfer is being initiated by the company Sansken but not being completed by PF Dept., then the fault lies with PF Dept,. Hence you are liable to get interested also on the balance amount. You can get the exact information from Sansken and accordingly mention the same to PF Dept. I am sure they will do the needful and will give you money as per your rights. Do inform me as soon as you get the info! more
