Treating EWS patients
In a 150 bed private hospital only 3 beds for critical care of EWS patients and 6 for general. Anyone knows what is the rule. Why hasnt delhi govt made them upload this information mandatorily into a central system for monitoring?? more

I have seen such a notice hung in Apollo Hospital...it is just for posterity but in actual if a patient from EWS comes, he would be turned out. Even otherwise poor people get an inferiority complex and are scared that even small dispensaries would rob them of their meagre savings so the Fortis, Apollo & Other private hospitals are for them like a distant dream. Forget Private Hospitals haven't we been reading of woman delivering outside Government Hospital Gates in U.P & M.P? more

It is actually a farce, as the private players in the healthcare sector are too powerful to be reckoned with. As a result, only cosmetic efforts are made by the govt/state govts for show, as they cannot take up cudgels with the money power and the underlying profit-sharing principle. more
