Well Mr.Daniel. PM was busy with Bihar in his pocket while Delhi-ites wouldn't want any compromise in their Diwali celebration which unfortunately has been hijacked from being a festival of lights to festival of noise and pollution. NCERT - as expected the Class-V & Class-VI workers were merrily blasting away crackers without any fear of Law. Next day's Paper (TOI) gave report of some 826 cases registered for flaunting of ban. It is same as the underreporting of Covid cases. Mayur Vihar, Bawana, Wazirpur, Rohini, Mundka & Mayapuri all reported more AQI level in severe catagory. Now you can't blame neighboring states for stubble burning when you are burning your own health and endangering others too by bursting crackers. more
I remember a figure of over 300 but less than 400 on 12 or 13 Nov 2020 and see the rise in one r two days here. what else could have changed in this one or two days apart from crackers? And people justify crackers on the name of Diwali. I am a strict hindu too but crackers are in no way connected to our religion or traditional way of celebrating diwali. Diyas are lighted up around our houses to light up the Amavasya night to welcome lord Rama. In addition, prayers are undertaken. That is Diwali. Not crackers. In my childhood in 60s and 70s there were NO CRACKERS on Diwali day in villages. Hindu festival can never be against environment. Govardhan pooja is a symbol of our respect for nature. more
Unfortunately the ban was not enforced properly or even monitored by the authorities ... They have failed us miserably... Our little ones and our elderly are in an endangered state but the government does not care ... Now we are only in Bhagwan Bharose mode as usual whether for pollution or for Covid more
Boycott Cars, Lifts, air conditioners first before giving sermons how to celebrate Diwali. more
