For gratuity there will be no deduction from the employee salary, it is the contribution from the employer for who had completed the minimum 5 years of service. It will be given after the retirement / discontinue of the job. This will be paid @ the rate of 15 days salary/ year (last drawn salary) for e,g, if serviced for 10 years you will be eligible to receive 6 month salary as gratuity. more
Gratuity is not deducted from Salary. It is paid to employees by the emplyer only if the employee has completed a minimum of 5 Yrs of service in that particular organisation and is only paid at the time of quitting the said organisation. Understood. more
