Garbage collection service lacks supervision by the respective conservatory Inspectors or their staffs. During my road travel, I take pictures and post in corporation website, they take action which is nice. But this needs attention overall. The Corporation has to revisit its process, people, and methods. As noted above by Govind, most of the locations lacks a good waste bins.
In addition, it is also the responsibility of the residents to ensure that their surroundings are clean.

Very poor garbage collection service. Waste remains uncollected for several days. Insufficient number of bins causes overflow of garbage, Bins remain open because of damaged lids. Collection should only be in the night. The waste on the streets remains uncollected. Segregated waste remains an alien concept. When stray dogs or other animals die, there is no system to remove them. Absolute apathy by conservancy staff and total absence of supervision.

KOLATHUR AREA... the Teachers Colony comes under this area. This is an Assembly Constituency area and a part comes under Ambattur Assembly constituency. Have two warrior like MLAs, but this area for the past two decades remain under developed. The METRO WATER BOARD has not made any attempt to give residential connection for Water pipes and sewage system and so much so this area for 10 years and more remain in bad condition and Water Lorry owners and Sewage Lorry owners thrive in this business unmatched. This business is being done with the blessings of local political parties functionaries who are kings of
the area. Even an election is announced in any part of the State, the Metro Water Board stops its work as election policy. Now Bye..Election, and Local Bodies Election (under suspended animation) are on the way and hence not progress or even attemt is made to give water/sewage connections to the residences. In spite of this, the Board is collecting the Water and sewage charges from the residence of the area, telling the board has right to do that. The GOVT.OF INDIA alone can save the people of this area and provide the basic needs of drinking water and sewage connection.
