No one is having a magic wand to just clean the city. Public attitude and behaviour has to undergo transformation. 2 whhelers and 4 wheelers crowded the streets. Footpaths turned to be either parking or vendor stalls. usage of plastic covers/carry bags became the order of day. With growing labour cost, usage of disposable items is increasing. To dump all these wastages big yards are required. The wastage can not be burnt and disposed. Unless there is a miraculous change in the behaviour of the citizen, theis planet can never become clean and smart.
Horrible. The random collection of garbage is one sure indication the powers that be are more engaged in survival and ousting politics than in administration.
Worst. Beyond this no word to rate. Indication please see at Seventh main road, Chennai Annanager,(600040) debris and trash not collected for the past one year and letters to all officials evoked no response. Worst is the entire road is occupied by vendors ,taxis, vans and lorries. Complaints to police we understood later a wasteful exercise. Shame to call city. We can call a trash yard.
