The roads and street cleaning in mylapore area where i live is not satisfactory.Two things are not done:1.The chennai Corporation and the contractor Ramkey Agencies are not bothered about the cleaniness of roads and streets.The employed staff are not monitored properly and the pickup garbage van is not regular in clearing the waste.2.The attitude and indiscipline of people around in not conforming to the requirements of keeping the environment clean and tidy.

The solid waste and sewage waste management should be streamlined with 100% efficiency with the cooperation of people.Then only we can speak about next things. If we create vermicompost in local(home, appartment) level and use in home street gardens most of the waste is handled. Then if we conciously use materials that are sustainable (use materials going with nature Ex: natural powders for soap, natural tooth powders etc..).. use all materials that are natural and make India /Chennai clean and Green..Chennai Corporation must have this vision and avoid big dump yards and sewage rivers ..

The CC has to get its garbage collection work right. Whenever we complain, there is a standard excuse offered - less manpower. When will the Chennai Corporation get the required manpower. The roads are not repaired in a timely manner. Street lights keep going out frequently. Anti mosquito fogging is not done properly.

Pavements only laid to help parking of private vehicles, large dust bins in the midst of the roads, roads full of dangerous pot holes, once in 10 days water supply, with no will or workable plan to address traffic congestion, non-applying of even slightest of brains in planning, free-for-all attitude, favoritism (towards the rulers and the concerned party of course...) to the core, poorest of infrastructure, no coordination between various departments of its own, for all this and more, I'd give a BIG naught and don't even feel like clicking on that 1 star rating for their performance...

The CORPORATION has to improve much the facilities for the people who are living there still we find damaged roads due to small rains and digging of Roads not properly closed by the agencies all corporation is not looking and taking care for the citizens of Chennai.
