DHBVN is sole distributor of power in Gurgaon distt. CM has at various occasions made public statement that there is no power cut and any shortfall is made good by power purchase in market. Power is available very cheap. However, power cuts are common phenomena in the area and there would be hardly any day of the year when day passes without cut. Cuts have become common at night when consumption is very low and every state has surpluses and that's why industrial night shifts came in vogue. One is unable to think of real problem. There are lot of dead cables on poles and are not being used for other places. There may be lot of areas of wasteful expenditure. Fuel is getting cheaper but fuel surcharge is prevalent without any relief.
Need is of thorough scrutiny. CFL lamps reduced a lot of power requirement and the new LED lamps have further reduced requirement or is only a myth to sell high cost lamps and cheating the poor consumer. DHBVN has not changed the parameters for new connections whereas a lot of gadgets are functioning on low consumption with star rating. Thus consumer is made to pay foe higher charges as minimum bill payment for low consumption and also deposit high security. State's power regulatory authority should take into account total factors in account while fixing rates and not to follow only data submitted by distributor.
All state regulatory authorities should change their approach otherwise this an additional levy on consumers.
The company is not able to meet the benchmark of services as specified by the regulatory commission. Moreover, the employees of the company are adapting to unethical business. A glaring example is the recnt news of a bill amounting to Rs. 77 crores to a consumer who was using just 2 CFLs. We can appreciate the possibility of an error in the system. But the shocking part is that the consumer was visiting frequently their office for correction in the bill and he was just being ignored. A news appeared in the newspaper and then the company got awakened and suspended three of their employees. Now the employees have gone on strike and I am quite hopeful company management would succumb to their pressure. When someone is faling in discarge of duty obligation towards consumer and then even remain hibernation to the reported problem why he should not be dismissed. Needless to mention that the consumer on receipt of the bill got shocked and was hospitalised. Why those employee should not be booked for criminal action.
These guyz specially the manager - Satbir Singh makes a lot of promises but false ones. Dont fall for their marketing gimmick. There is always material short supply and a lot of damages with these guys and they never deliver on their promises specially on the insurance part. Once you pay the full money u will never be able to get hold of Satbir Singh ( 9029084777) again. Very very poor service to the extent of cheating.
