The farmers must be encouraged to use biofertilizers

1. Very good work in checking fertilizer misappropriation and being sold in black for other industrial uses.
2. Something needs to be done to ensure that the farmer gets the right price of the produce. Tomatoes, Potatoes being sold at Rs. 10/- per Kg in Delhi retail market. The shopkeeper must have purchased at Rs. 5/- per Kg from the mandi. The farmer would have got a pittance.
3. More cold storage and warehousing facility needs to developed in PPP . Almost half of the crop wroughts and gets damaged due to poor storage facilities.
4. Grass root level planning of the food crops need to be done by govt. to ensure that there is a balanced production.
5. Efforts should be done to do away with the middlemen. They make maximum money from the farmers and from the consumers. Farmer is looted and the consumer is cheated.
