My heart cries when I read the news that so many lakes in Bangalore are destroyed in the name of Urbanization and development . The existing lakes completely ruined by the irresponsibility of each and every one of us including the blind and deaf state Govt!!!.
Why cant we outsource this task of cleaning each lake and bringing back more lakes

The ministry needs to urgently take up afforestation, conservation of excess rain water by building small, medium, and large water bodies dotted all over the nation. The ministry also needs to create several thousands flora and fauna pockets around large water bodies.
All of us need to understand that the power consumed for air conditioning is the maximum, followed by air circulating fans, and the least by lights. So a one degree Celsius decrease in environment temperature drastically reduces the requirement of power.

So, by creating water bodies and flora, three gains are made. 1. The ground water table recharging is more effective, 2. The need for power for human comfort reduces very significantly, and 3. The carbon foot print is reduced due to lesser power required and more flora. It also helps alleviate the drinking water supply problems as well as water required for agriculture.
