I travel by 12432 Trivandrum Rajdhani very often. The condition of the compartments are very poor. Meals quality is also not good. In almost all compartments water leakages are there. No proper maintenance is being carried out. In total the travelling experience in the train is worse than Express train.

Dont make food compulsory , with Tkt. Let an insulated cart move from Pantry to coaches, carrying semi dry food. Gravy food makes the coach dirty, often. Give Dahi, pickle, onions etc , it will cover deficiency in main food.

My Father recently traveled from Vadodara to Jaipur in special Tatkal Train the food was included in the ticket, so he did not carry any food with him. The food provided by Railway was horrible and Cold and insufficient quantity , contains only to very hard to chew Poories and almost damaged dry aloo baji, small quantity of rice and dal any one can imagine as he is 60 years old, have few teeth, how terrible was the experience.

Catering on Trains: this is a very hot issue; lots of people have complained of it, irregular, cold, watery etc. This happens when the PC on the train which is located in the middle of the rake composition, by the time the food reaches even the next bogey, the food has become cold; as for inedibility, i would say that it is impossible to cater to all persons individually, and since stops have been made less frequenct, just two minutes mostly, the caterer cannot alone be blamed. Railwsy should find a way, just in Rajdhanis, Durantos, provide hot ovens in each coach. it's going to be expensive. BUT most of all I wonder why you should have Pantry Cars? You are taking away nearly 72 passengers; why don't you disconnect them, and provide on board catering through the system that has recently been announced of private vendors providing food of choice at their railways stations ?> PCs dont make sense in today's worl. Let the passenger decide which caterer he wants and has it delivered to his seat.

I have travelled recently between Ahmedabad and Trichur by train No. 16337 and again by train No.19260 and then by 16333. a
All the stations on this route after leaving Mumbai- Thane area ar very small and no food stalls are there anywhere till Coimbtore, The journey takes nearly 36 hours. The passengers have to depend only on the pantry for food.
THE FOOD SUPPLIED IS SUCH THAT EVEN A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO MAKE IT WORSE SHALL NOT SUCCEED. EVEN THE BREAKFAST SERVED EARLY IN THE MORNING IS COLD AND STALE.
It is essential that frequent surprise inspections of the pantry are carried out and those responsible for lapse heavily fined as the jeopardize the health and life of the passengers.
These and many other trains are infested with rats which often damage the passengers' luggage.
SOME TIMR AGO PASSENGERS WERE FORCED TO DETAIN THIS TRAIN AT COIMBATORE BECAUSE IT WAS INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES.
