Sir, One of the source of corruption is IPC498A. This law was framed for the benefit of women, who have no financial support & are with liabilities & being deprived of their rights in the hands of their husband. But this law is maximum misused rather abused by some women who are earning a handsome income & are with no liabilities, because this law is one sided because of police action. Even home ministry agrees that it is misused 10% but practically it is 90%. !0% is the figure from the court but divorce on mutual agreement is also a misuse because husband choose to pay than to go to court because there also his voice will not be heard. He will have to prove lot of evidences where as women in not to. Lawyers/Judiciary are also silent & not taking any step not even PIL on this BLACK HOLE of this law because of personal reasons. I suggest this black hole be removed & both the parties be given equal chance so that the deserving get the justice & law is not abused. more
